Local Children Wave the Flag

1 February 2006

Two lucky youngsters from the Bentilee area saw their winning logo designs for a new joint services project go on display in Bentilee yesterday (1 February).

Shannon Alcock from Eaton Park Primary School and Jack Millington from St Maria Goretti School won a competition to design a logo for the construction phase of the Bentilee Hub Joint Service Centre in Stoke-on Trent.

The winning designs, selected from over 100 entries, were unfurled by Lord Mayor, Councillor Maurice Lewis, at the site yesterday.  The children, their families and teachers attended the presentation and received a commemorative flag to take away with them as a special souvenir of the morning.

Each school received £100 from the Bentilee Hub Project Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of Regenter, and its construction partner, local firm J & S Seddons, to spend on art supplies.

Regenter is a joint venture between Equion, a division of John Laing plc, and UK Pacific Investment Management, the majority shareholder in Pinnacle psg.
